Factors Influencing the Acquisition of Writing Skills

By regularly realigning teaching methods to accommodate student preferences and monitoring students' writing abilities, teachers must also constantly maintain students' interest. As a result, to make writing assignments more interesting, teachers must carefully prepare each lesson by employing various methods, customizing lesson plans, and utilizing up-to-date and relevant teaching aids. Additionally, teachers face the daunting challenge of transcending a student's perception that writing is merely a "testing or evaluation tool."

Both students and teachers face writing challenges at the same time. For example, while students struggle to learn writing skills from their teachers, teachers struggle to teach them. Writing is difficult, stressful, and demotivating for L2 students. Writing is a difficult process. These students require assistance from teachers regarding discourse, idea coherence, grammatical vocabulary, sentence structures, and cohesion. Because a student's success depends on it so much, special care is needed. As a result, it becomes the primary responsibility of a teacher to not only encourage students to write but also to write well.

Students cannot claim to have learned the language if they lack proper writing skills. Even though they are regarded as difficult, teachers can successfully teach writing skills if they are aware of the underlying factors that influence their students' development.
